Waste recycling always feels good because, for the good of the planet, people can manage their habits accordingly. However, even though the intentions are positive, only 9% of the plastics are recycled, meaning that many landfills are still packed.

Waste has wreaked havoc in water bodies by damaging the ecosystem, wildlife, and the general environment. Dealing with the waste challenge requires change at all levels because this planet demands the efforts of everyone. The states that started this waste recycling process earlier have experienced significant results.

In 1991, Germany had a recycling rate of 3%, but now this has risen tremendously to become the best globally. Wales was recycling 5% of the waste two decades ago, but now this has risen to 64%/Australia has devised a national plan that targets to hit the 80% mark by 2030. Visit This Page to learn more.

This initiative has been supported by the government aggressively since the focus needs funding and other action plans. It pledged to offer $190 million, and this will bolster the investment by establishing the infrastructure, $15 million for action plan implementation, and $24.6 million to work on the waste data that will help to track the recycling targets.

$1 million is to be invested in creating a Product Stewardship Facility of Excellence. Cleanaway’s CEO, Vik Bansal claims that this will enhance the development of a circular economy. Vik Bansal and WMRR have appreciated the government’s efforts in this waste management course.
