Tim Ioannides MD is proud of all that he has done over the years but it is not quite clear how he got to the place he’s in. He was born in the Orlando area and had a passion for the world of medicine from a young age. That’s why it came as a shock to no one when he opted to be pre-med at the university of Miami.

Dr Ioannides did well in his role as a student there but was not yet sure what type of medicine he wanted to go into. It was not until he got to his sophomore year that he knew he wanted to focus on skin. After he was done with all of his undergrad classes, he stayed on campus to enroll in the miller school of medicine.

He knew it would be a lot of hard work to earn his MD but was determined to be the best doctor he could be at all costs. After 5 long years of med school, Tim Ioannides MD finally got his degree & went on to do his residency in the private sector. During his time there, he would learn how to file paper work in the front office & work with the patients. While he did like it at first, he soon realized all they cared about was making money.

So, he left in disgust & went on to start his own practice where each patient would get the respect they deserve. He was not sure if it would do well at first but they have now been going strong for more than 25 years, A big part of that is the fact that they always take notes by hand to ensure they focus on the patients in lieu of their screens. He now lives in Vero Beach.

He founded Treasure Coast Dermatology and has been serving the residents of Treasure Coast for more than 15 years. The American Board of Dermatology has certified Ioannides to conduct dermatology procedures. He is also part of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Mohs Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
