Kfir Gavrieli; Foundation Efforts Towards Curbing Covid-19 Pandemic

Gavrieli Foundation, in collaboration with Kfir Gavrieli has significantly made efforts to help women. The Foundation provides women with entrepreneurship ambitions with micro-loans to start and grow their businesses. As a result, the Foundation received global recognition on the Kiva platform as the largest lender.

Kfir Gavrieli, Tieks, specializes in manufacturing women’s flat shoes uniquely designed to fold. His brand has gained global recognition from various celebrities, including the famous Oprah Winfrey, who has supported and recommended the brand.

Kfir Gavrieli received his tertiary education from Stanford University and graduated with a BS in Economics. Also, he earned himself a Master’s degree in Material science and Engineering from the same varsity. He similarly holds an MBA degree.

Before establishing a fashion company, Kfir Gavrieli worked in other distinct sectors, including real estate, venture capital, hedge fund, and tech.

Through Gavrieli Foundation’s efforts in financially empowering and supporting women, there has been a decline in the number of women subjected to poverty. Kfir believes that his company and the Foundation have great potential to help and see them thrive in the entrepreneurship world.

The Covid-19 pandemic prompted Gavrieli together with his Foundation to launch an operation branded #SewTogether campaign. The campaign aimed to produce facemasks in bulk to be donated to frontline health workers in the United States. Kfir mobilized Tiek’s supporters, fans, and customers to embark on the noble activity of sewing and donating facemasks. In an interview through webinar conducted by the American Jewish University, Mr, Kfir highlighted that the pandemic had brought companies to portray what they can offer the community apart from the ordinary products and services.

In a bid to see the success of the launched #SewTogether campaign, Kfir got aboard to procuring sewing machines deployed to employees to produce facemasks.

The Foundation was started in 2008. Since its incorporation, it has contributed significantly to giving back to the community.
