Kevin Plank Sells the Famous Georgetown Mansion

Kevin Plank is the influential founder of Under Armour, and his wife called Desiree who is the outgoing CEO has unloaded their home-based in Washington D.C though with a steep price compromise. The Federal-style mansion has been there for 200 years, and even though the market price tag was $29.5 million, it went for $17.5 million, still a big number in the local Georgetown market. The buyer is undisclosed, but it seems he or she paid cash. The buyer’s identity is hidden by Priority Holdings Trust, an entity that traces to the CPA office found in Dallas.

Kevin Plank bought the mansion in 2013 for just $8 million, and at that time, the house offered the most luxurious features including interiors, perfect finishing, and unique hardwood. Over the years, Kevin Plank and Desiree spent a lot of money on a renovation like the $1million used to install a marble staircase. The marble used is similar to the one used during the Thomas Jefferson memorial. All the rooms got designer finishes, and this work was done by Baltimore-based professional Patrick Sutton and Annapolis’ Pyramid Builders.

The 1810-built structure takes an area of 12000 sq. ft, and it sits on a tree-lined avenue in Georgetown, It has a prime frontage plus a uniquely covered exterior. The mansion has a living space of three floors, eight bedrooms plus ten bathrooms. The sitting rooms have intimate spaces with comfy chairs and massive fireplaces. The kitchen is spacious enough to accommodate catering services for large occasions, it also has all the necessary restaurant appliances.
