Desiree Perez and Jay Z have named a new chief executive officer for the Parent Company. The two named Troy Datcher as the first black chief executive officer of a United States public company that offers cannabis products to consumers. During the announcement, Perez stated that Datcher was an accomplished executive who was very skilled at developing effective strategies to help businesses grow and succeed. As the chief equity officer and board member of the Parent Company, Desiree Perez looked to appoint a new executive that was capable of leading the organization to reaching its future goals of becoming one of the most successful cannabis companies in the nation. As well as serving as the chief equity officer of The Parent Company, Desiree Perez co founded Roc Nation which specializes in entertainment management.

On September 8th, Troy Datcher began serving as the CEO of the Parent Company. He will collaborate with Steve Allan in order to complete the transition into new management. Before his appointment as the CEO of the Parent Company, Datcher was a senior vice president for the Clorox Company. He also served as the chief customer officer of the company as well. While serving at these two positions, Datcher helped the company manage all of its worldwide sales and was responsible for generating more than $6 billion in sales. Troy spent two decades as a member of the Clorox Company.

The Parent Company is a new company that focuses on promoting social justice in communities all over the country. As a California based company, it will use revenues to help make contributions towards addressing the effects of both laws and prohibition in the cannabis industry. Once he begins serving as the full time CEO of the company, Datcher will look to use his position to address equity, diversity and justice in various communities throughout California and the rest of the United States.
