Bo Parfet was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He started his education in Michigan before joining Kellogg School of Management, where he graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration. He later joined the University of Michigan and graduated with a Masters in Economics. His educational background has played a significant role in his finance career. He has been very successful in finance, and his activities in this field have earned him the title “dare the devil adventurer.”

He joined the Financial Accounting Standards Board, where he began his career as a research fellow. He afterward joined J.P Morgan as an investment banker in corporate finance. It is at this time he started “daring the devil” by embarking on the journey of climbing the seven summits. Yes, he completed climbing the highest mountains in every continent in 2007 when he completed Mount Everest. After he finished these formidable challenges, Bo Parfet thought it is an excellent time to explore the challenges of entrepreneurship.

He has invested extensively in the area of social entrepreneurship. Besides this, he is an active philanthropist. He partnered with Explorers Club to establish the Seven Summits Awards Program in 2004. This program seeks to reward top students with education grants, which is meant to help them advance their studies in the healthcare field. So, any top-performing student who wished to pursue a healthcare study was legible for a grant. He has always desired to support positive change in the world. For this reason, Bo Parfet founded Denali Venture Philanthropy in 2013.
