Andre El-Mann Arazi is the co-founder, CEO and Technical Committee member of Fibra Uno. His company invests in and manages commercial real estate properties. It’s the largest real estate firm in Mexico and the only one to have its stock publicly traded on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
His company was the first to launch a FIBRA. This is a mutual fund that has a basket of real estate properties. Andre El-Mann Arazi said FIBRA offers several advantages to investors. They don’t have to spend time and money managing properties. They’re an easy way to diversify a portfolio as they have many commercial real estate properties.

Andre El-Mann Arazi said the Mexican government modeled FIBRA on what’s called a REIT in the United States. After FIBRAs were created, the government reformed the laws governing them multiple times. The modifications included changing how they’re taxed, traded and operated. They’re now an attractive and stable investment opportunity.
He said the team at Fibra Uno is always looking to grow. Andre El-Mann Arazi said the numbers speak for themselves on how successful this strategy has been. Even with the pandemic, his company has achieved solid growth and profit. Despite the pandemic, occupancy at Fibra Uno’s buildings has remained at 94.5%.
