Stepping Up: Kfir Gavrieli

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. They can do little things and big things too. One of the people who like to recognize heroes is the owner of Tieks. His name is Kfir Gavrieli. He should be able to know where to look for them. He works with them each and every day. This has never been more prevalent than during the Corona Virus outbreak. He and his people stepped up to do what they could.

One of the things that Kfir Gavrieli noticed when the Corona Virus started to spread was those first responders in his local area did not have the equipment they needed. This was a call to action for the team at Tieks. He and his team went to their homes and started creating personal protective equipment (PPE) masks for them. This was the beginning of a program called Operation #SewTogether and it showed what real heroes can do when they are asked to do something.

This was also a nice way for Tieks and Kfir Gavrieli to get some name recognition as well. Included with the more than sixty thousand masks that the workers had made were free gift cards for the first responders. It was their way of saying thank you for their services to the community at large. It is a win-win for everyone.

Tieks came up with “Tieks for Heroes Program” that offered a one hundred dollars card gift to the first respondents of the sewing campaign, nurses, doctors, and military service team. Tieks Company is a popular lender at KIVA and has extended microloans to women of color worthy ten million dollars and above.

This was a chance for people to step up and do something special for a special group of people. These are the people who put their lives on the line each and every day to make sure that the Corona Virus does not get the upper hand. These workers did not have to make the masks they wanted to do it. that is the real definition of a hero and what makes them stand out among others.
