Levinsohn’s career has spanned across 36 years, and he has consistently proven his aptitude for successfully leading reputable corporations working in the media technology space. Before he accumulated professional experience that led him to Maven, Levinsohn attended American University. He graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications in hand.
For a several years after graduating, Levinsohn worked in several positions that enabled him to expand his professional expertise. When HBO recruited him to be its Director of Production and Marketing in 1990, he had the background and personal skills necessary to succeed. In this position and in his other positions throughout his career, he demonstrated his prominent leadership skills, his forward-thinking mentality and his strong work ethic.
From HBO, Ross Levinsohn moved into the role of Vice President of Programming at CBS Sportsline. This was followed by stepping into the role of General Manager for Alta Vista. After leaving Alta Vista, Levinsohn took on the role of President for Fox Interactive Media. While working in this position, Levinsohn had considerable influence over the corporation’s many web properties. Some of these are IGN, Fox.com, FoxSports.com and FoxNews.com
Throughout his lengthy and successful career, Levinsohn also worked for corporations like Whisper Advisors, Tribune Publishing, Yahoo!, Boston Consulting Group, Guggenheim Digital Media and several others. Across these prime positions, Levinsohn maintained influence over their many brands. These include the Los Angeles Times, the Film Expo Group, AdWeek, the Hollywood Reporter, the New York Daily News, Dick Clark Productions, the Clio Awards and more.
