Mr. Matthew Autterson lives and works within the Colorado community. He is a successful and respected Colorado businessman, entrepreneur, and generous philanthropist. Matthew Autterson has dedicated his life to finding a cure for neuromotor disabilities. His funding has helped research ventures and treatments for people with Spina Bifida and Cerebral Palsy.
Autterson tenacious leadership in the field of disabilities has led him to a seat on the Falci Adaptive Biosystems Board of Directors. Falci Adaptive Biosystems is a leading non-profit research firm that is working to improve the lives of the disabled by helping to create innovative technology in the creation of wheelchairs, vehicles, and other modified devices that will improve their everyday lives.
Falci Adaptive Biosystems works with engineers, medical centers, rehabilitation facilities, physicians, and therapists in conceptualizing adaptive technology to help those with brain and spinal cord diseases and injuries that would normally render them helpless.
As an example of his support to Falci, he helps to coordinates wheelchair and racing car events. Patients are drivers in specially designed cars and wheelchairs. Patients also work as pit crew members using modified devices that can be controlled by their hands and arms.
Matthew Autterson has spent most of his career (more than 25 years) in the field of finance which was also part of his educational background. He graduated from the Michigan State University with a B.A. in Finance and he attended the University of Denver in their Graduate Tax Program. His successful financial career included top management positions at First Trust Corporation and Resources Trust Company which is known today as AIG. His career at CNS Bioscience involves his position as CNS’ President, Chief Executive Officer and active Board Member. Matthew Autterson further enjoys his philanthropic ventures with the Denver Zoological Foundation as one of their leading Board members. He also supports the activities of the Web-Waring Foundation (Colorado bio-medical studies) and The Denver Hospice.
